The National Cancer Information Network (NCIN) website is a secure website for clinical staff in regional cancer treatment centres, District Health Boards clinical groups and primary care practitioners to share local cancer guidelines and protocols within New Zealand.

Members contribute resources, with overall administration being undertaken by the New Zealand Guideline Group (NZGG). NZGG has been contracted by the Ministry of Health to develop and host the website. It is governed by a User Advisory Board.

NZGG hopes that in facilitating the sharing of information between centres it can help:

• reduce duplication of effort
• achieve greater consistency in the management and treatment of cancer throughout New Zealand
• improve the distribution of/access to information about cancer treatment and care.

We hope that the website will become your preferred destination for accessing New Zealand guidelines and resources on cancer to help you make better-informed decisions about health care options.
